This is very variable exercise and photos are here very useful.

You are in standing position between upper pulleys (a little bit before imaginary axis which is browsing through both pulleys). Body is a little inclined forward. You pull pulleys together down (arms are mildly flexed) over side bows. Arms come together or cross before femurs.

With motion up you are breathing in and with motion down you are breathing out.

Primary:
m. pectoralis major - sternal part
chest - lower part (old school claim)

Secondary:
m. pectoralis major - clavicular part
m. deltoideus - front part
m. triceps brachii


With cross arms is bigger strain in pectoralis and effect of exercise is bigger too.
