This is relatively isolated exercise. The torso is mildly forward bend. With the arm which is not exercising you are fixed on rest of cross bench.

You are raising arms forward with dumbbell in almost outspread arm crosswise before the body. Movement conducted by the thumb ahead ended when the arm is parallel with floor or a little bit higher and before opposite shoulder.

This exercise is suitable also for beginners because of fixed body. You are breathing out with the movement up and you are breathing in with the movement down.

Primary:
m. deltoideus - front part

Secondary:
m. deltoideus - middle part
m. trapezius
